Hello! I just stumbled upon your blog because I googled, "Can you buy blueberries in Morocco?" and this popped up! I, too am an American and I've spend the last two years in Morocco. My story is a little different than yours as I did not travel with a group or school. I simply packed everything into one suitcase and bought a one-way ticket with no idea what to expect. I'm actually a white girl who converted to Islam and wanted to live in a Muslim country to learn more about it--so I picked Morocco for a still unknown reason.
You should check out my blog if you miss good ol' "Rocco." Look at it from a computer (as it's way better) and search for the articles:
"Thanks, Chief." "The 7 Day Scramble." (My favorite) "A letter to Los Angeles" (My 2nd favorite)
